And they can also be very dumb (and annoying) 😞.

Humans almost always have to tell computers what to do! And once humans instruct the computer on what to do and how to do it - the computer can do it very quickly 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 Gazillion ways on its own !!

One of the most common ways that humans tell computers what to do is through programming languages.

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is a special type of programming (or markup) language for creating websites like this one!! This is why HTML is also known as the language of the web.

We are also using another helper programming language called Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to make the website pretty. We use CSS to apply different colours to different pages of websites.
